Bishop Dr. Michael D. Reeves Jr.
Bishop Dr. Michael D. Reeves Jr., is married to the beautiful Lady Leah. They have four sons: Lorenzo, Michael III, Johnezel and David. They have been blessed with an angel from above, in the form of their first granddaughter Layla, who was born to the family December 2016.
Dr. Reeves has been very involved in the community. He has taught financial empowerment seminars and community outreach programs. His effectiveness in implementing programs for the youth has been vast to say the least, during his role as Youth Pastor. This would include the Oratorical Contest that was implemented by Dr. Reeves. His involvement in many ministries and outreach programs for men and women while the Assistant Pastor at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, made him grow to appreciate the privilege of seeing transformational change through instruction and mentoring throughout the church and community. Dr. Reeves was the Senior Pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church of Hamilton Ohio. Dr. Reeves was led to write a dissertation, titled “Ministry in the 21st Century: A Wholistic Approach to the Development of the Christian Family through Financial Empowerment.”(Available through the Library of Congress)
Dr. Reeves is the President of the NAACP Hamilton/Fairfield/West Chester Unit 3186. He is also the Assistant Secretary for the Ohio NAACP State Conference, a Member of the Board of Trustees for the American Baptist State of Ohio Region Churches. He also serves on the board for the community help organization L.I.F.E.
Dr. Reeves was an Adjunct Professor for Ohio Christian University, Columbus State Community College and United Theological Seminary Doctor of Ministry Program.

July 2017, Dr. Reeves was elected and consecrated as the Southern District Bishop and Bishop of Christian Education for the CAYA Perfecting Churches Intl. Dr. Reeves is now the proud Senior Pastor and founder of God’s Light Ministries Church. Where he teaches that we as Christians are to light a path to salvation and success to non believer’s all over this world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
